Profile of Rob Hubbard

Rob Hubbard

I like to think of myself as an elearning architect; creating the building blocks and designing the structure of innovative elearning and blended learning solutions. I am a huge enthusiast of all that technology can offer to enhance a learning environment and love working with organisations to broaden their horizons on how elearning can provide effective, engaging and budget conscious training for them.

I have been in the elearning industry for over ten years now and in 2005, founded LearningAge Solutions Ltd. I have led and managed projects for many premier organisations in the UK and beyond, including University of Cambridge, Visa CEMEA, RBS, Mars, Sellafield Ltd, The Environment Agency, Jobcentre Plus and the DTI.

So what’s my USP? Well, I am able to combine top level strategic thinking with creative flair and technical knowledge. I believe in finding the right learning technology for the training need and this need not always be the most expensive, all singing, all dancing solution. My clients tell me that I am easy to work with and I pride myself on my honest, straight forward approach.

I am an elected Board member of the eLearning Network, now serving my second year. I regularly speak at national conferences and chaired the 2009 eLN conference on 'Creating Effective and Engaging Learning Content'. I like to share knowledge and have a regular column on elearning in Training Journal Magazine. I am also passionate about encouraging others to join this fantastic industry and make best use of all the exciting learning technologies out there. So in 2009, we launched an innovative online rapid elearning development course www.ministryofid.org using Web2.0 technology.
